Why a Per-Server Price Is Misleading

The approved method depends on the cabinet and device manufacturers, total and point loads, center of gravity, rail retention, shock limits, floor and elevator capacity, thresholds, ramps and transport restraints. Even if a rack is rated for static equipment weight, that does not mean it is rated for dynamic road movement while populated. Obtain written engineering and mover approval for any loaded-rack plan.

Destination readiness is a gate, not a same-day task. Verify rack positions, floor loading, electrical feeds, UPS runtime, grounding, cooling, fire protection, carrier circuits, IP addressing, cable paths, access credentials and receiving equipment before the shutdown window begins.
